FAQs

Each service is a little different.
9 am goes for around an hour and follows a booklet with printed prayers,
10:45 am has a more relaxed format and goes for a little longer (no more than 80 mins)
We love to sing together (but you don’t need to join in).
There will be moments of prayer led from the front and when you can read long.
We read the Bible and someone (usually the pastor) will speak about it for around 30 mins.
We share the Lord’s Supper / Communion most weeks at 9am, and once a month at 10:45am. This is a significant moment for Christians and will be explained in the service. We recommend that you don’t take part unless you really understand what is going on. More info below if you are interested.

Nope - come as you are… modest casual wear is fine (and hey its Katoomba you can wear your ugg-boots and no one will mind).
-
No. You can bring your Bible if you like, but many people read their Bible’s on their phones or pick up one in the room.
-
No. Our team leads from the front. We occasionally give you the opportunity to discuss something with people around you, but as with everything, there is no pressure to join in.
There is the option to give to the church through the box or tap-n-go at the door (a bag is also passed around at 9am). But most people give online, and again - no pressure!
If you want to know more about this, you can look at our giving page.

Absolutely, we love kids to be part of our church. hey are welcome to stay with you or go to our programs.
We have kids programs for toddlers, preschool, primary and lower high school kids during the 10:45AM.
Check in toddlers through to primary kids from 10:30am down in the hall (follow the signs down the path). Youth start in the service with us.
There is a spot at the back of the church for bubs and their carers. We don’t mind a bit of noise from kids during the service, its just great that they are there.
Find more info about our Sunday and midweek kids and youth programs here.

We do the best we can in our old building, and a number of our members attend with walkers, walking sticks and wheelchairs.
We try and keep the parking spots out the front of the church clear for people with lower mobility. Use the space for parking or drop off if needed.
There are no steps from the footpath into the building (great for wheelchairs and prams).
Our bathroom in the main church is accessible.
There are cafe tables at the back of the church if that makes it easier for you, and there are a number of chairs with arms if you need them for getting up and down.
Ask one of the friendly welcomers if there is anything we can do to help you enjoy your time with us.
The downstairs hall with our kids programs is a little more challenging to access. Again, feel free to ask for help and we will do our best to accommodate everyone.

We get it, there are all kinds of reasons people don’t feel comfortable at church. You are welcome to come any time, but you also may like to join us online for a while as you get to know us. Feel free to get in contact with us here.
