Why Pledging?

It's the privilege of every Christian to support their local church financially. We have a God who did not withhold his only son from us and so we are free to live generous lives in response to this.

Over the last few years we began something new, which many churches have found very helpful. It's called pledging, and basically it is committing on paper, to what you have decided in your heart to give.

Now there are (at least) three good reasons for us to do this.

1. Jesus says it is more blessed to give than to receive - and he's right. It helps our hearts and keeps our greed in check. Pledging helps us follow through on these good intentions.

2. It helps grow our generous hearts. It does us good to take time to pause, reflect and prayerfully consider how we support the ministry and vision of our church in the coming year. Circumstances change, sometimes you will be able to give more, and other times less - but it's good to make the decision intentionally.

3. It helps us make wise decision about the future. Our wardens and parish council will be able to consider and set our budget from an informed and responsible position if they have an indication of what will be given.

There will be a paper and online form where you can indicate your pledge. Be assured that only our Treasurer will see these. Of course this is not compulsory, but please know that it will be very helpful for our leadership in taking responsible steps into the future. I'm sure it will be helpful for you as well.

Thanksgiving Projects

  • Connecting spaces

We started raising money for this part way through 2024, but we have a way to go. We’d love to build some stairs to connect the lower rooms (the old Anglicare offices) to the hall area. This will allow for safe and dry access during kids and youth programs. This will also increase their usability for staff and meetings.

    Target: $6,000

  • Staff seed fund

As we approach others to help us grow our staff team, it’s important that we are contributing as well. Let’s prepare now, for the costs involved in growing our ministry capacity.

    Target: $5,000

  • Starting strong

We had a slow start to 2024 (financially) which left us in a budget deficit that we have struggled to catch up from. Would you consider helping us catch up this deficit so we can start strong in 2025?

    Target: $10,000
